Glow is a short solo for flute. It consists of two main ideas: a low melodious theme, and a high staccato theme. The flute plays the two themes sequentially at first, but soon, elements from each theme become incorporated into the other. Near the end of the piece the two themes are combined, turning the solo into a duet of sorts.
